Grootfontein Gasteplaas lies right on the N1, about 32 km outside Richmond, and offers comfortable overnight accommodation for families and groups of friends travelling between Johannesburg and Cape Town. Four spotless units – two bed-and-tea units and two self-catering units – sleep up to 16 guests, and all ages are welcome.
Arrive dusty from the road, take a walk to the dam and across the wall, ride the mountain-bike trails, light the braai and let the Karoo silence and starry skies do the rest. Your hosts, Karen and Frans, will make sure you leave rested and well fed.
